Surplus Lines Tax Coordinator

Summary:
Under general to limited supervision, the surplus lines coordinator is responsible for coordinating timely filing and payment of surplus lines taxes to respective state(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate completion of agency/individual regulatory surplus lines tax filings.
• Provide professional advice and counsel to clients regarding surplus lines taxes
• Communicate with state insurance departments to ensure proper statutory compliance with applicable surplus lines laws and codes.
• Assist peers with finding and interpreting state regulations pertaining to surplus lines tax filings, as required.
• Participate in projects and other activities as required.
• Comply with all defined policies and procedures

Knowledge and Experience:

Working knowledge of commercial property/casualty coverage and services and/or insurance licensing, preferred.
EXCEPTIONAL attention to detail
